Adjudicating claims for service during the civil war in Tennessee for various individuals and farms. Includes discussion of the 'nonesuch farm' amongst others. Also clear about the 'loyalty' test for reimbursement and describes the affidavits that needed to be filed along with the claims by the farmers and farms that provided homes for soldiers, horses, and other essentials to the union army in 1865, 1866 etc. Also lists the Union Army officers that were in charge at that time as well as the owners of the properties. Later a discussion about the railroads and lands awarded for service. The item has loose pages, light toning and some loss of paper on the first several pages at the corners but does not affect text.
