This is an Antique Wooden Pall Mall Whist Marker, made by C. G. & S., London, England.
At the time of the original listing, we are in the process of listing a large number of antique and vintage items purchased in England.  These items are an eclectic mix including gold and sterling jewelry, and many unique, and in some cases, one of a kind items, in wood, brass, and iron, and other materials as well. Among these items are two antique whist markers and two vintage bridge trump markers. There are also games and game related items including chess, draughts, dominoes, table top games, dice and dice cups.
The marker is thought to be Victorian, but we do not know the age specifically.
The nicely finished hardwood whist marker has a beautiful patina of age.  We do not know the type of wood for sure.
The marker is 3" long x in 2" wide.
The maker's logo in gold decal or transfer adds to the appeal of this piece.  It would make a great addition to any collection of whist markers.
Condition
The marker is in excellent condition, exceptional really considering its age.
