    Best known as one of the Chicago Seven and Jane Fonda's Husband (accompanying the actress on her controversial trip to Vietnam), political activist Tom Hayden tried to change the system from the inside by running for Congress in 1970. The run failed, but launched Hayden's political career as a long time California State Representative. Historic pin features the slogan “COURAGE IN CONGESS” at the top with a photo of HAYDEN below and his last name in yellow with “22nd Cong. Dist” on the bottom. Original pin in red, white and yellow is in Very Fine condition. Covers are bright and clean and free of any blemishes. Back of pin shows some average age tarnish.
