RARE 1838 ORIGINAL CONGRESSIONAL RECORD, Regarding Tippett's Safety Steam Engine
    DESCRIPTION:
Nice, very rare original printed section of US Congressional Record dated March 26, 1838. A presentation to Congress by Edward D. Tippett about the details of his Safety Steam Engine. A VERY SIGNIFICANT INVENTION AT THE TIME DUE TO THE INCREASING OF STEAM ENGINES AND POWER, ALONG WITH THE SAFETY PROBLEMS FROM EXPLOSIONS.
Talks about government funds already provided by Congress to support his testing, and specific tests in Baltimore.
Scans show it all.....this is an actual part of the original 1838 Congressional record taken from it!! Printed on early paper with early letterpress inks from the time. Just think, this was well before the California Gold Rush, the Civil War, and was only 2 years AFTER THE ALAMO !!
Particularly nice subject matter, and a nice early document. Great historical information from
the times!!! In excellent original condition. VERY SUITABLE FOR FRAMING, and a great gift for a steam engine or railroad
    collector.
