THIS IS A PAIR OF BOOKENDS FROM THE OFFICE OF CONGRESSMEN DONALD RAY "BILLY" MATTHEWS. HE REPRESENTED FLORIDA FROM 1953 TO 1967. THESE BEAUTIFUL AND VERY HEAVY EAGLE BOOKENDS HAVE A LABEL ON THE BOTTOM WITH LOVELY STATEMENT ABOUT EAGLE CAPTURING THE SPIRIT OF AMERICA. THESE WERE MADE BY PHILADELPHIA MANUFACTURING COMPANY. THE BOOKENDS WILL ALSO COME WITH AN ORIGINAL LETTER FROM THE CONGRESSMEN ABOUT THE DEATH OF JFK.  YOU WILL BE GETTING AN AMAZING PIECE OF AMERICAN HISTORY.
